Peggy, a gray and white cat, was rescued in November 2008 with a severe injury to her right front paw, apparently caused by a leg-hold trap, said Warwick Valley Humane Society President Suzyn Barron. Just a few short weeks ago, Peggy and Mickey were homeless shelter mates. He told the tabby that from that day on, he and all his descendants would have an "M" on their foreheads, in honor of his kindness to Mary and her baby.Īnd that is why all tabby cats have an "M" on their forehead. God then thanked the tabby for comforting Mary and his only son. With the cat's warmth of fur and lullaby of purrs, the baby quieted and drifted off to sleep.
